What network ports are used in the Command solution?

This article list all the network ports that needs to be available on a server, and/or open in the network, to use our Command solution. These ports are listed in the following tables. Additional ports, not strictly needed in the Command solution, are listed under the tables.

If not specified, ports are intended as port used by the TCP protocol.

  Command SW products

The ports that needs to be available and open on the server on which our SW products have to be installed, and open on the network in which they’re placed are:

SW product SW component (installed on a single server)
Ports that needs to be available and open
Command Enterprise Command Server 80, 443, 49444 (UDP, discovery)
Command Recorder 80, 443, 4505 (media), 49444 (UDP, discovery), 1194 (default legacy media)

Additional ports on Command Server: 123 (NTP server, provided by the OS required for installation).

On Command Recorder the default legacy media port is configurable.

Command HW products and VideoSphere edge devices

The ports that needs to be open on the network in which our HW is placed are:

HW product Ports that needs to be open
R5 80, 8080, 443, 4505 (media), 1194 (default for legacy media, used in integrations with our edge devices)

Additional ports on Edge OS family: device family dependent range (UDP, RTP), 123 (NTP), 22 (SSH, optional).

On 7532 and the edge devices the default legacy media port is configurable. On the edge devices other ports can be configurable (e.g. RTSP, RTP ranges, HTTP, NTP).
